These beautiful 5mm large loop stainless steel ear wires from Monarch Pine Craft Supply can be used with leather (including 2-layer designs), 1/8 wood, acrylic, polymer clay, and other materials without the use of jump rings, while still providing plenty of movement and swing on the earring hook!
Crafted from premium surgical stainless steel, these large loop earring hooks beautifully coordinate with arch connectors, jump rings, and other findings in the shop to create perfectly-matched, hypoallergenic earrings.
* Tip: To use these, use your pliers to open the loop to the side. Next, slide the end of the tail of the earring hook through the hole in the front of your earring, following the curve of the hook until the earring is in the loop. Finally, use your pliers to close the loop (slide back and close like a jump ring). If you accidentally open the neck of the hook too wide, you can gently squeeze the neck more closed. As you get the hang of these, they will get easier and easier to use and may just become your favorite hooks!
